Stunning Pair of Large Ostrich Feather Plume Giltwood Wall Lights Italian 1950's
A truly spectacular and rare pair of large 1950s Italian wall lights, masterfully hand-carved from solid wood and finished in a rich, multi-tonal gold leaf gilding.
Designed with an extraordinary sense of theatrical flair and sculptural elegance, each sconce features a dramatic, fan-shaped array of deeply carved ostrich feathers.
The feathers radiate outwards with exceptional texture and fluid movement, culminating in curled plumes that frame the central backplate. From the stylized acanthus base, two elegant, leaf-wrapped scrolling arms sweep upward to support double candle sleeve light fittings.
The heavy, high-relief French Regency carving creates an enchanting play of light and shadow when illuminated, casting a warm, atmospheric glow. Retaining their beautiful, original patinated gilt finish.
