Pair of Early 20th Century Egyptian Applique Panels
Art Deco Egyptian revival appliqué wall panels, Cairo,1900s, crafted by artisans to appeal to international visitors in response to the 'Egyptomania' craze of the era.
One panel features the goddess Hathor the consort of the sky, surrounded by stylised lotus flowers/foliage, the other panel features the kneeling winged goddess Isis with lotus flowers. Beautiful red, mono and neutral tones throughout.
These panels could be used as hangings, framed or made into fantastic cushion covers We also have a larger applique wall hanging of a similar manner listed separately

Good condition with some minor losses, signs of age and wear as to be expected These are flat applique, no hanging hooks or rings
