A wonderful and rare example of a hand crafted armchair, made in Taiwan circa 1950, the traditional chiselling and heat bending techniques have been used throughout the manufacture of this piece, as well as the precision pining using small specially made bamboo pegs, to keep the structure secured.

This chair bears the traditional H and S decorative shapes of Taiwanese craftsmen. In excellent vintage condition, with a few minor scuffs near the feet, as you would expect on a bamboo chair of this age
