Maison Bagues Set of 3 Substantial Rock Crystal and Gilt Iron Wall Lights Circa 1930's France

An extraordinarily rare and highly important trio of French Art Deco period wall sconces by the legendary Parisian atelier Maison Baguès.

Masterfully executed in the 1930s, this scarce set of three showcases the house's signature mastery of botanical forms and luminescent mineral work, striking an elegant balance between Neoclassical symmetry and organic fluidity.

Each wall light is built upon a delicate, hand-hammered iron framework finished in a patinated gilding. From a classical central rock crystal backplate rises an intricate tree arbor motif, adorned with exquisite, hand-carved rock crystal droplets, natural faceted leaves, and rosettes. 

Every sconce features three elegantly scrolled scrolling arms terminating in candle-style fittings, each is a small bayonet (B15) lamp holder.

The fixtures are further elevated by magnificent, oversized pear-shaped rock crystal pendants that capture and fracture light with incomparable brilliance.

Excellent antique condition. The hand-wrought iron preserves its rich, original distressed gilt patina with beautifully aged oxidation. The rock crystal elements are remarkably intact, displaying only the natural inclusions inherent to authentic gemstone minerals and minor, historic fleabites consistent with age and hand-carving, one light has a small historic loss at the very bottom.
