19th Century Sunburst with Crown

An incredible processional sunburst/cross, wooden rays emanate from the central image of the Virgin Mary set behind glass, topped with a metal crown and cross. The sunburst is set within a pole that would have been carried aloft during religious processions.

The pole is in two parts so this could be displayed at two different heights. There are historic repairs to some of the rays, and the original gilt finish shines through the white painted surface.
