19th Century Giltwood Italian Feather Wall Lights

An exceptional and highly decorative pair of 19th-century Italian giltwood twin-arm wall lights, hand-carved with striking symmetry. Each sconce features an elegantly arched, stylized feather plume backplate that retains an exquisite, aged water-gilded patina

The deeply articulated carving showcases a wonderful sense of organic movement, terminating in a bound ribbon motif at the base. Sweeping from the lower stem are two scrolling timber candle arms, topped with beautifully detailed leaf-carved wooden sconces and bobeches. Offered in magnificent antique condition, these statement pieces beautifully bridge the gap between classic Louis XVI elegance and timeless country house charm.

Each light holds two e14 (small screw in) lamp holders.

These lights are wired and in full working order, but as with all our lighting we would always suggest they are tested by a qualified electrician
